Arch-rivals Australia and England will go up against each other in the ICC World Cup 2019 on June 25 (Tuesday) at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Ahead of the game, Aussie head coach Justin Langer has heaped praise on England’s wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler, calling him the new MS Dhoni.

Meanwhile, it will be a heck of a clash when defending champions go up against the top-ranked ODI side. Aaron Finch & Co have been dominant throughout the tournament barring the India game while England slipped in their last match against Sri Lanka. The batters failed to chase down a small target set by the Lankans. The likes of skipper Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler was unable to step their game up and had to undergo their second defeat after Pakistan.

However, Buttler has received a confidence booster as Justin Langer has showered praise on the English wicket-keeper. He had a good time leading to the tournament but has lacked the consistency in the World Cup. Langer called Buttler the new generation MS Dhoni – who had set high standards for himself playing for India over the years.

“Jos is an unbelievable player. I love watching him bat. He is the new Dhoni of world cricket. I hope he gets a duck in this game obviously, but I saw him at Somerset and he is an unbelievable athlete and an incredible finisher,” Langer said.

Furthermore, Justin Langer feels that England deserve to be at the top in ODI ranking and the loss against Sri Lanka won’t really impact them. The former Australia cricketer admitted that he can’t wait for tomorrow’s clash to get underway at Lord’s.

They are the best team in the world. Just look at their team, nothing has changed in a week. I can’t wait for Tuesday – England at Lord’s, World Cup. That is what we are thinking about,” he concluded.
