England’s hopes in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 hang by the wire when they face unbeaten India in a must-win game on June 30 (Sunday) at Edgbaston in Birmingham. On the other hand, another win will secure the Men in Blues’ spot in the semifinal.

England started their campaign on a high, winning four out of their first five games. However, successive defeats to Sri Lanka and Australia have left the hosts needing to win at least one – and potentially both – of their final two matches to reach the semi-finals. The injury of Jason Roy has hurt them badly, and the management will do all it takes to field Roy in the game against India. They are also mulling over Jofra Archer‘s injury, and suddenly they find themselves in all sorts of trouble. They will look to look to counter all their problems and come out all guns blazing against India.

On the other hand, the Men in Blues, for the first time will don an orange jersey – their away kit against the host. Virat Kohli & Co have looked a bit shaky in their batting in the last two games and will seem to settle the nerves before the semifinals.  On the other hand, their bowling has looked like one of the best in the tournament. The likes of Mohammed Shami has stood up when an opportunity came his and is likely to retain his place in the playing XI.
