ICC World Cup 2019: Pakistan Fans Abuse Their Own Team After Heavy Loss To India
It was a thumping victory for the Indian National Cricket Team against Pakistan on the other day at Manchester. They have completely outplayed the Sarfaraz Ahmed-led side to seal the victory to secure those crucial two points in the tournament. Meanwhile, Pakistan fans and supporters thrashed their own team following the loss.
A large number of fans who had gathered for the game between India and Pakistan on Sunday to watch the match at Manchester amidst an atmosphere of festivity left upset and angry.
Meanwhile, a video comes out, which showed some of the fans raising slogans against the Pakistan Cricket Board and players demanding their ouster.
Fans aren’t happy with Pakistan cricketers:
Getting into details of the game, earlier in the day, Rohit Sharma struck his second World Cup 2019 hundred as he made light work of the Pakistan new-ball attack.
Rohit Sharma joined hands with KL Rahul for the 1st time in ODIs after Shikhar Dhawan’s injury. Sharma, in particular, paced his innings brilliantly well. He saw off Amir’s first spell before taking the attack to the Pakistan bowlers.
The vice-captain brought up his first century vs Pakistan in World Cups. During the course, he stitched the highest-opening stand for India in World Cups vs their arch-rivals (136) with Rahul. Rohit threw his wicket away as he perished while trying to scoop one over the short fine-leg fielder in the 39th over.
India managed to make 102 runs in the last 11.4 overs, thanks to Kohli who took on the onus of keeping the scoreboard moving after Rohit’s departure. Mohammad Amir was the star with the ball for Pakistan as the left-arm pacer picked up 3 wickets after giving away just 47 runs in 10 overs.
In reply to the chase, the Pakistan team got a solid partnership between Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman after losing Imam-Ul-Haq early in the innings.
