Pakistan finished their ICC World Cup 2019 campaign with a convincing win over Bangladesh at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. New Zealand and Pakistan finished on 11 points, but the Kiwis progressed for having a better net run-rate.

The Men in Greens have been the most unpredictable side in the World Cup. They suffered a humiliating defeat to West Indies in the tournament opener but bounced back to beat favourites England only then to go down against in the next few games. Pakistan picked up the momentum, but it was too late for them to make themselves a place in the semifinal.

However, this squad will require a lot of shifts and changes as they will look to come out stronger post the World Cup.

Here is the players rating of Pakistan Cricket Team from the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019:

Fakhar Zaman has failed to live up to the expectations in the World Cup. He has only managed to score one 50+ score in the nine games which sum up Pakistan campaign this time around.  The southpaw needs to work on his game to make a strong comeback.

Imam-ul-Haq (5/10)

Imam-ul-Haq finished the tournament with an outstanding century against Bangladesh. Other than that, he had very little to talk about him as early wickets have badly hurt Pakistan. Imam will have work a lot on his game if he wants to be in the team post the World Cup.

Babar Azam (9/10)

Babar Azam has been the brightest star for Pakistan chipping in with useful contribution in almost all the games. He scored 474 runs from eight matches at an average of 67.71 including a hundred and three fifties.

The young batsman has a lot of talent behind, and Pakistan have found a star for the future.

Mohammad Hafeez (5/10)

Mohammad Hafeez has lacked consistency as Pakistan have had very little from their senior cricketers. He has shown his brilliance in bits and pieces and has failed to bow out on a high. He has scored only one half-century and picked two wickets in the World Cup, and the management would have expected a lot from their senior all-rounder.

Haris Sohail (4.5/10)

Haris Sohail has proved himself in whatever limited opportunities have come his way. He has played two brilliant knocks against New Zealand and South Africa and will be keen to carry on the form in the matches to follow.

Sarfaraz Ahmed (c & wk) (2.5/10)

Sarfaraz Ahmed has had an awful World Cup, and he will like to forget it as soon as possible. Moreover, he has failed to lead the team from the front both with the bat and behind the stumps.

Pakistan is unlikely to continue him as the skipper of the side, and the veteran cricketer will have to work hard on his game to retain his place in the playing XI.

Imad Wasim (5.5/10)

Imad Wasim has played some crucial knocks in the lower order, especially against Afghanistan where he single-handedly won the game for his side. But the wickets haven’t come for the all-rounder who will have to work on this aspect before the next series.

Shadab Khan (5/10)

Shadab Khan has had a very average tournament picking nine wickets. However, he has not been economical, which has let the opponents dominate Pakistan in the middle overs. The young leg-spinner is one of the best in the business, who will look to bounce back stronger.

Wahab Riaz (6/10)

Making it to the World Cup in the dying moments, the veteran seamer Wahab Riaz made a good impression early in the tournament but lacked consistency as the tournament progressed. He picked 11 wickets in the competition which is likely to be his last. Wahab will hope to contribute more to Pakistan cricket before calling it a day.

Mohammad Amir (7.5/10)

Mohammad Amir has impressed with the new ball finishing with 17 wickets from eight matches including a five-wicket haul. Meanwhile, he was not in the initial 15-member squad and came into the team after a good show against England leading to the World Cup.

He will look to keep up the excellent form after the World Cup and lead Pakistan’s bowling unit.

Shaheen Afridi (8/10)

Shaheen Afridi came into the playing XI in place of Hasan Ali who had a poor outing in England. The young left-arm seamer returned with 16 wickets from five matches including six for 35 against Bangladesh in their last World Cup match.

Afridi is certainly one to take for the future, and he will earn a lot of accolades for his country in the near future.

Shoaib Malik (1/10)

Veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik announced his retirement soon after Pakistan finished their World Cup campaign. Malik featured only in three games scoring two ducks out of those outings. The all-rounder has been a great servant of Pakistan cricket.

Hasan Ali (2/10)

Hasan Ali has featured in four matches for Pakistan in this World Cup and has failed to leave any impression at all. He has gone for plenty of runs and will look to work hard and bounce in upcoming matches.

Asif Ali (1/10)

Asif Ali went through a personal loss just before the World Cup, which had an impact on his game. The batsman played only two matches and managed to score 19 runs only. Ali will have to recover soon and come back hard on the cricket pitch.

Mohammad Hasnain (0/10)

The young fast bowler came to this World Cup with a lot of expectations but has not got a game. However, he has learnt a lot sharing the dressing room with experienced cricketers and trying to pick their brain.
