The Proteas had lost their opening match against England and they would aim to make a solid comeback. However, South Africa will be without the services of Hashim Amla who was hit on the head by Jofra Archer. Amla didn’t attend the practice session on the eve of the match and he is likely to sit out. On the other hand, Bangladesh will battle against injury woes. The Tigers opening batsman Tamim Iqbal had suffered a blow to his wrist and the southpaw batsman is a doubtful starter for the match. Moreover, Shakib Al Hasan, Rubel Hussain, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mashrafe Mortaza, Mahmadullah have injury concerns.

Bangladesh has taken giant strides in the last five years and they would like to play in the World Cup as they have played in the recent past. They are a confident side and it is fair enough to say that they are no longer the underdogs of the tournament. Furthermore, Bangladesh will like to win the crucial stages of the competition and it would be interesting to note how they will tackle the crucial stages of the match.

Meanwhile, South Africa had done a good job with the ball when they had faced England. However, their batting had let them down. Quinton de Kock had scored a fine fifty and he would like to continue his good form going. The left-hander is going to play a key role and he would like to be at the top of his game. The Proteas will also miss the services of Dale Steyn who hasn’t recovered from the shoulder injury.
