IND vs AFG 2018: Indian Team Kick Starts New Season in Bengaluru

Indian team has kickstarted their new season in Bengaluru. The number one side in the longest format will square off with Afghanistan in the historic Test match from June 14.

India savoured great success in the previous season. Thus, they would like to reach new heights in the forthcoming season as well.

It is going to be a pivotal season for the Indian team, as they are to tour England and Australia. After playing against Afghanistan, India will two-match T20I series against Ireland.

An imperative season for the Indian team ahead of World Cup.

After that, India will set their feet in England for the imperative tour. Virat Kohli-led team will play three T20Is, as many ODIs and five Test matches on the England tour. The tour will be significant for the Indian cricket, as the next year World Cup will be held in the same country.

India had a successful tour of South Africa but could not win the Test series. Thus, the Indian team will be determined to do well in the English conditions.

Virat Kohli will like to prove that his team is the best team in red ball form in all type of conditions.

However, Ajinkya Rahane will lead in the one-off Test match against Afghanistan. Team India will not like to take the Afghan team lightly.

Asghar Stanikzai-led team has shown great form in the limited-overs format.

Thus, the hosts will like to be on their toes to beat the confident Afghanistan side.
