IND vs SL 2017: India Equal the Record the Most Number of Sixes in a T20I Innings

India scored a mammoth score of 260/5 in the second T20 international against Sri Lanka at the Holkar stadium in Indore. The Indian team hit 21 sixes in the innings out of which Rohit Sharma hit ten sixes on route to his second T20 international century. Rohit scored the joint fastest hundred in T20 international in just 35 balls equaling the record of South African David Miller.
Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bowl first, but the decision completely backfired for the tourists. India equalled the record of hitting 21 sixes in a T20 innings in the second T20. They equalled the record set by West Indies against India in 2016. West Indies scored 245 when they set the record of hitting the most sixes in a T20 innings.
Rohit Sharma scored 118 runs which are now the highest score by an Indian batsman in T20 Internationals. He was equally accompanied by opener KL Rahul who scored 89 runs. The two openers were involved in a 165 runs partnership.
