India and South Africa Women teams will play an addition Twenty20 International game to make up for the rain-affected matches. Two matches of the series was a complete washout due to continuous rain in Surat. The makeshift game will take place on October 3 (Thursday).

Meanwhile, it was initially a five-match series which will now be of six-match after the addition of the extra game. The final game of the series will take place on October 4 (Friday). India took an early lead in the series winning the first T20I by 11 runs before two consecutive washouts on September 26 and 29 respectively.

India came back from a two-match break to win the rain-marred fourth match of the series by 51 runs. Umpires had to reduce the game to 17 overs and the host had the last laugh banking on good knocks of Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues.

With 2-0 down, South Africa were already out of the series. But after the management’s decision to add one more game, the visitors will get a lifeline to at least end the series in a draw. The Proteas will have to win both the remaining matches to level things back.

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side, on the other hand, will be keen to seal things with one match still to play. They have looked convincing and have dominated the visiting side to go 2-0 up in the series. India will hope to keep the same run and pocket the series with one match still to play.
