India Become First Team To Register Four Straight Innings Win

The Indian team is on a roll. The Virat Kohli-led side is a force to reckon with and they look all but invincible especially in their own conditions. India won the second Test against Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs to continue their domination in the ICC Test championship.

This is India’s fourth consecutive innings win in the Test fold. India had won the last two matches against South Africa by an innings margin. The number one world side had won the second Test against the Proteas by an innings and 137 runs. Furthermore, they won the third and final Test by an innings and 202 runs.

India looks invincible.

On the other hand, India won the first Test against Bangladesh by an innings and 135 runs. Meanwhile, India skittled out Bangladesh at 195 runs in the second innings. Ishant Sharma was awarded the Man of the match as well as the man of the series award.

The lanky pacer scalped five wickets in the series whereas he took four wickets in the second dig. Umesh Yadav scalped a five-wicket haul in the second essay. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli scored a fine knock of 136 runs. Kohli scored his 27th Test century as he batted at the top of his game. Furthermore, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane scored half-centuries. India had declared their innings at 347-9 with a lead of 241 runs.

On the other side, Bangladesh could only manage a paltry score of 106 runs after electing to bat first in the historic pink-ball Test. Ishant Sharma had breathed down the neck of the visitor’s batsmen as he took five wickets.

Furthermore, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami scalped three and two wickets respectively in the first innings. Thus, India has won all of its seven matches in the ongoing ICC Test championship and they are at the top of the table with 360 points.
