There is no second opinion of the fact that bowling department of India if not often gets overshadowed due to its robust batting approach. But in the United Kingdom (UK) it appeared to be a pretty different thing to witness.

In the first Test between India and England, the same things were on offer before the recently concluded Lord’s Test saw the visitors faltering with the bat again.

Although, Indian bowlers provide regular breakthroughs to their skipper Virat Kohli, it was Indian batting that came under heavy criticism.

From the maiden ton of Virat Kohli to the failure of Shikhar Dhawan, the ongoing Test series has witnessed a lot so far.

However, when it comes to the spectacular bowling of Ravichandran Ashwin to register the special spell before Mohammad Shami, did his best which has gone unnoticed.

It is ironical to know that some luck and eventually the failures from Hardik Pandya were enough for him to become the hot-topic to debate about. However, the five-for from Ishant Sharma failed to do so.

Many cricket pundits and experts are of the opinion that Indian team lacks in quality owing to the bowling department.

Even though India attained a No. 1 spot in both Test rankings, it feels that India reached the pinnacle with their quality batting. But India has an excellent bowling attack, and statistical perspective supports this viewpoint that they subsequently aided the batters.

Team India bowlers took all the twenty wickets in last seven instincts:

Indian bowlers have managed to bag all the twenty wickets in the last seven Test matches.

Interestingly, bowlers achieved this milestone against top teams. Out of those seven occasions, the bowlers of India took twenty wickets thrice in a Test match against Sri Lanka.

Indian bowlers displayed their skills during the South African tour as well. Regardless of conditions, the bowlers took 20 wickets thrice against the Proteas. The streak continued in the last match as well.

In the Edgbaston Test, India’s bowling dismantled strong batting line-up of England on both the occasions. It was the seventh time when bowlers took all the twenty wickets in a Test match.
