Ending all speculations, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the players resolved their feud on Wednesday. The players had gone on a strike on Monday which had put the upcoming tour of India in doubt. Led by Shakib Al Hasan and other seniors, the players had asked the board to meet their demands regarding the game in the country.

The players had also threatened that they would not take part in any on-field activity until and unless their demands are met. The board finally agreed to most of the demands and the players called off the strike with immediate effect. The Bangladesh Cricket Board said it had agreed to most of the players’ demands after they put forth an 11-point list.

As a result, the series against India will now take place as scheduled. Cricket in Bangladesh is now set to resume with the National Cricket League starting next Saturday. On the other hand, the national players will participate in the preparation camp for the upcoming India series. The camp will start from October 25. Meanwhile, Shakib said that he is happy that most of the players’ demands are being met.

“Today we are happy,” said Shakib. “We can say how satisfied we are when these assurances will be implemented.”

“Till now, I am happy. The board promised to resolve all the matters one by one very soon. I hope they will do it in quickest possible time. We raised those two demands just now and the board needs time to discuss about it. I am okay with it for the time being. We are joining the national camp from October 25.”
