India won the second ODI by nine wickets and took a 2-0 lead in the six-match ODI series at the Supersport Park in Centurion.
Indian spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal again made most of the conditions and continued their exceptional run of form in the limited-overs format, as they picked up eight of the ten wickets to fall in the first innings.
Hosts South Africa got dismissed for a mere 118 in the after being into bat first by the Indian captain Virat Kohli.
Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the bowlers for India, as he finished with his career-best figures of 5/22 while Yadav picked up three wickets giving away just 20 runs in six overs.
None of the South African batsmen showed resistance against the Indian spinners. JP Duminy and debutant Khaya Zondo scored 25 runs each.
Chahal and Yadav made it to the Indian ODI team in place of the experienced duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. A lot of Indian fans raised their disappointment against the decision made by the Indian management, but both Yadav and Chahal have perfectly answered the critics by picking up wickets at regular intervals.
