Indian Test specialists have already been preparing for the upcoming series at the ICC Cricket Academy and in order to ramp up the preparations for the Pink Ball Test, the practice under lights will start on Friday.

“The team realises the need to prepare for such an intense series and we want to use as much of our time judiciously in Dubai. We will have sessions under lights from today and with the pink ball. Today’s session will be a three-hour session approximately,” the source said as quoted by ANI.

Even though Raghu- the throwdown specialist- who has not traveled to the UAE due to coronavirus, the team will seek the services of another throwdown specialist in Nuwan Seneviratne from Sri Lanka, whose left-arm angle will help the batsmen prepare for Mitchell Starc.

Pujara, Vihari, and the rest are currently working with Nuwan in Raghu’s absence. It is unfortunate but you cannot do anything about Raghu testing positive for coronavirus. Looking at the brighter side, Nuwan brings in the left-arm angle and that is a plus as Starc is an integral part of the Australian attack,” the source pointed.
