David Warner celebrated his 100 One-Day International for Australia in style as he slammed a brilliant century to help the world champions post a huge total against India in the fourth One-Day International at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.
The southpaw, who is playing his first ODI series in India, failed to get going in the first three games but made amends for them by scoring 124 off 119 balls with the help of 12 fours and 4 sixes. In doing so, he became the first Australian to score a century in his 100th ODI.

Warner’s century also helped him to go past India skipper Virat Kohli in the list of most centuries after first 100 ODIs. The left-handed batsman has now scored 14 centuries while Kohli, who has scored 30 centuries in 197 matches so far, had scored 13 tons in his first 100 games. The list is led by South Africa opener Hashim Amla who reached the three-digit mark on 15 occasions in his first 100 ODIs.
Here is the list of top 5 players with most centuries after 100 ODIs:
Player | Centuries after 100 ODIs |
Hashim Amla | 15 |
David Warner | 14 |
Virat Kohli | 13 |
Quinton de Kock | 12 |
Shikhar Dhawan | 11 |
Meanwhile, Australia scored a mammoth 334 for 5 in the fourth game of the series. Warner top-scored for the world champions while last match’s centurion Aaron Finch missed another century by just 6 runs. The duo added 231 runs for the first wicket, going past the previous highest opening stand for Australia against India which was achieved by Geoff Marsh and David Boon when they added 212 runs in 1986.
