India vs Australia 2017: Rohit Sharma Reveals The Reason Behind India's Brilliant Performances

Team India continued its dominating run in One-Day Internationals with yet another impressive series win and this time they did it against the reigning World Cup-holders Australia. The win extended India’s impressive show this year which began with the series win over England.

It was followed by the run to the final of  the Champions Trophy before the Men in Blue thrashed West Indies 3-1. The Virat Kohli-led side then whitewashed Sri Lanka 5-0 before winning the first three games of the recently-concluded series against Australia. The 3-0 lead saw India leapfrogging South Africa to become the number one ODI team. However, it did not last long as the 9-match winning streak came to an end following the loss in the fourth game but Team India responded in style by winning the fifth and final game on Sunday (October 1).

Batting first, the visitors could manage only 242 for 9 in the allotted 50 overs. In reply, the hosts, led by Rohit Sharma’s 125-run knock, chased down the modest total inside 43 overs to take the series 4-1 and also reclaim the number one spot in the ODI rankings.

With Team India extending its domination with every passing game, Rohit Sharma revealed the reason behind the team’s unprecedented success. The opening batsman said that the mindset of the players prior to every game has been the key to success on the field.
