Gautam Gambhir will be a part of the Sony’s expert panel for the upcoming series between India and Australia.

The much-awaited series between India and Australia is all set to get underway. Not surprisingly, there is excitement all around to see the rivals locking horns once again. The celebrated fixture rarely disappoints. Well, veteran Gautam Gambhir will be enjoying all the action from very close quarters as he travelling to Australia for the series. However, the left-handed batsman will not feature in the series as a player but as an analyst. The World Cup-winning batsman has  signed up as a cricket expert for the official broadcasters Sony.

However, it is not clear whether the southpaw would remain in Australia for the entire tour as he is currently a part of Delhi’s Ranji Trophy side.

Apart from Gambhir the panel includes Sunil Gavaskar, Michael Clarke, Harbhajan Singh, Ashish Nehra, Robin Uthappa, Gautam Gambhir, Mark Butcher, Nick Knight, Dominic Cork, Murali Kartik, Sanjay Manjrekar, Mohammad Kaif, Harsha Bhogle, Gaurav Kapur, Deep Dasgupta and Vivek Razdan.

“Extraaa Innings will be coming up with a new look and set design and our panel of experts will be providing pre, mid and post-match analyses of all the matches in the tour,” SPN said in a media release.

Both sides will compete in three T20Is, four Tests and three ODIs. The series will start off with the shortest format, with the first T20I to be played at The Gabba on November 21, 2018.
