India vs Australia 2019: 2nd T20I - India's Predicted Playing XI

India will aim to bounce back in the two-match T20I series after losing the thrilling first T20I by three wickets. The opener of the series was a see-saw battle which swung from one side to another like a pendulum. In the end, it was the guests who were able to hold their nerves to get over the line by the skin of their teeth. We at Cricket Addictor take a look at India’s Predicted Playing XI.

Consequently, India will like to turn the tables in the second match. The hosts were right on the money with their bowling effort. However, they would aim to pull their socks in the batting department as they had scored a paltry 126 runs in the first match.

Indian vice-captain could not hit the ground running in the first match. Sharma went for the paddle sweep but didn’t clear the fine-leg fielder in the 30-yard circle. Consequently, Rohit Sharma will like to come up with a better performance.

Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan didn’t get a place in the playing XI in the last match. However, Dhawan might return to the playing XI to provide solidarity at the top of the order.

KL Rahul

KL Rahul played a good knock of 50 runs off just 36 balls in the opener of the series. Rahul got back into form which is a good sign for the Indian team before the World Cup. Rahul can bat at one down if Dhawan comes back into the playing XI.

India’s captain Virat Kohli has a great record while playing at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Thus, the Indian skipper will like to repeat the same kind of performance at favourite his hunting ground.

Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant was unfortunate to get run-out in the first match of the series. Pant hasn’t yet impressed in his favorite format and he would like to come up with a good performance.

MS Dhoni

Could be Dhoni’s last T20I match.

MS Dhoni could be playing his last T20I match. Dhoni chewed 37 balls for his 29 runs as he could not find the fence at regular intervals. However, Dhoni kept losing partners on the other end.

Krunal Pandya

Krunal Pandya bowled with accuracy as he conceded only 17 runs in his four overs quota. Pandya also scalped the wicket of Ashton Turner with a flatter.

Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal scalped the big wicket of Glenn Maxwell in the first match. Furthermore, the leg-spinner didn’t let the visitors off the hook as he conceded only 28 runs in four overs.

Mayank Markande

India’s rookie spinner Mayank Markande went wicketless in his debut T20I match. In fact, the leg-spinner gave away 31 runs in his allotted four overs. Markande will search for his maiden International wicket in the second T20I.

Umesh Yadav proved to be expensive in the first match of the series. Hence, India can get in the services of Siddarth Kaul, who has a plethora of variations under his belt.

Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah had turned the match on its head in the penultimate over when he took two wickets. Bumrah was once again right on the money as he took three wickets and conceded only 16 runs in his four overs.
