India won  the toss and decided to bat first against Australia in the fourth One-Day International at the PCA Stadium, Mohali.

Here is what the captains said:

Aaron Finch: “I would have batted first as well. It will stay together for the whole game. We have been expecting dew throughout the whole series but it hasn’t come. We want to win the series.”

Virat Kohli: “We are going to bat first. Looks like a belter of a pitch. Can’t really predict when the dew is going to come, if at all it is going to come at all. Four changes. Rishabh is in for MS. KL is back in place of Rayudu. Bhuvi takes Shami’s place and Chahal replaces Jadeja.”

Preview:

After the eye-opening loss in the third ODI in Ranchi, Team India will be looking to bounce back when they take on a resurgent Australian side in the fourth ODI with an eye on winning the series. India will be keen on improving their performances with the bat – particularly at the top of the order. Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Ambati Rayudu’s barren run continued in Ranchi, much to the worry of the team-management. The bowlers also had a rare rough day.

Australia, on the other hand, will hope that their openers continue their fine form. Usman Khawaja and Aaron Finch had added 193 runs for the first wicket to lay the foundation for the big total and eventually the win. Glenn Maxwell has looked good too. However, the rest of the middle order has blown hot and cold and the visitors will want to correct that in Mohali.

Teams:

Australia (Playing XI): Aaron Finch(c), Usman Khawaja, Shaun Marsh, Peter Handscomb, Glenn Maxwell, Ashton Turner, Alex Carey(w), Jhye Richardson, Pat Cummins, Jason Behrendorff, Adam Zampa

India (Playing XI): Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli(c), Lokesh Rahul, Rishabh Pant(w), Kedar Jadhav, Vijay Shankar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah
