Australia Cricket team have came from the back twice in this series and would be desperate to win the series beating Indian National Cricket team in the fifth and the final ODI at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi. Last night at Mohali, they beat the host nation by four wickets chasing a massive total of 359 runs.

Australia aims to make three out of three

Meanwhile, Australian batsmen have bounced back in the series which has been crucial for them in their turnaround. The return of form for Aaron Finch, Usman Khawaja, and Peter Handscomb along with Ashton Turner playing a blind cameo has overturned their future in the series. Khawaja has played two back to back good knocks and the side will look forward to him to play another crucial hand in the final tie. Moreover, Finch and Handscomb have also bounced back to form which will give them a nod ahead in the last game. Ashton Turner, who came into the playing XI in the last game in place of Marcus Stoinis – sustained a finger injury, made full use of the opportunity. He played an unbeaten knock of 84 runs from 43 balls to seal the deal for the visiting side.

However, they will ponder over the form of experienced Shaun Marsh, who has struggled to find form since his return from injury. The experienced southpaw still has six more ODIs – one against India and five against Pakistan, to return to form ahead of the ICC World Cup. The bowlers, meanwhile, have done a good job despite being on the expensive side. The form of Pat Cummins will be a massive boost for Aaron Finch & Co ahead of the showpiece event.

India need to pull their socks

On the other hand, this will be the waking call for the men in blues ahead of the World Cup. They have been very sloppy on the field and will have to rectify those mistake sooner to avoid any major upset at the pinnacle tournament. In addition, the bowling department – who was in outstanding form suddenly looks unsettled as they failed to defend the massive target in the last game.

However, their openers have returned to form which will bring a sigh of relief in the minds of the team management. But they will still think about the no four spot as Ambati Rayudu is yet to showcase his consistency to seal the debate. Indian National Cricket team will have to bring their A game in front and will have to dominate Australia in all the department to take the encounter and the series.
