The Indian National Cricket Team lost a bilateral T20I series at home after a fine time, courtesy Glenn Maxwell. The stunning show from Glenn Maxwell in both the T20I games helped Australia to bag the series against India in India. Meanwhile, the former Indian bowler Ashish Nehra suggests line and lengths to Indian bowlers while bowling at him.

Glenn Maxwell batted brilliantly for the team in the first T20I of the game. It was his knock, which really helped Australia to near the total on a surface, which was really tough to bat on. He followed it up beautifully by smashing a scintillating unbeaten century in the second and final game of the series.

A guy like Glenn Maxwell is unstoppable when he is in flow – Ashish Nehra

The left-handed fast bowler quoted that the batsman like Maxwell is pretty unstoppable when he gets going. He also highlighted the fact that the stadium is filled with dew, which didn’t help the Indian bowlers. Further, he also felt that might have tried changing their line and lengths.

Nehra felt that Bumrah and Kaul should have bowled short of good length delivery rather than going for yorkers with dew around. However, he kept on praising Maxwell for his incredible knock, which really kept Indian bowlers on backfoot. In between, Nehra quoted that it is tough to expect consistency from a batsman like Maxwell.

”Glenn Maxwell was in full flow. He was unstoppable. Definitely, a guy like Glenn Maxwell will not be as consistent as the team management would like to have him or he himself. Any batsman, who likes to bat at 180 or 200 strike rate can’t be consistent. But, as a bowler, you need to see best chances,” Ashish Nehra said.

”I already said he is unstoppable. But, still, the ball is wet and bowling yorker is very difficult for him. Someone like S Kaul or Jasprit Bumrah should try to bowl back of a length delivery which would be useful rather than going for yorkers. However, the kind of innings he played, bowlers have very less chance to come back,” he inferred while speaking to cricketNext.

Well, as Ashish Nehra said, Glenn Maxwell looked unstoppable on the other night at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. It would be interesting to see how Indians would tackle him in the 5-match ODI series.
