Meanwhile, Australia will take on India in two match T20I and five-match ODI series. This would be the last limited-overs series for Indian side before the upcoming World Cup 2019. Australia will take on Pakistan after the series against India.

On the other hand, India had recently toured Australia in which the T20I series was tied 1-1. India then went on to make history as they won their first-ever Test series on the Australian soil and won the series by 2-1. Furthermore, India also clinched the ODI series by 2-1.

Mitchell Starc is going to hold the key for the Australian side in the forthcoming World Cup. Thus, it is crucial that the talisman bowler gets the much-needed game time under his belt. Starc hasn’t played a lot of white ball cricket in the recent past and it would be crucial for him to be fit before the ODI showpiece.

Meanwhile, Mitchell Starc was the highest wicket-taker in the previous edition of the World Cup in 2015. Consequently, he was awarded the Player of the tournament in the last season of the World Cup.
