India vs Australia 2019: Peter Handscomb Wicket Was Very Special - Kuldeep Yadav

It was a scintillating performance from Kuldeep Yadav in the first ODI game of the 5-match series against Australia. The youngster displayed his skills to help India get an economical 10-over quota from him that include a couple of special wickets. Speaking of the same, Kuldeep Yadav termed that the wicket of Peter Handscomb was special.

Kuldeep Yadav finished with the nice spell, who gave only 46 runs in his 10 overs. He picked the wickets of dangerous-looking Usman Khawaja followed by Peter Handscomb, who was trying to build a partnership with Glenn Maxwell.

Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami bowled well – Kuldeep Yadav

The chinaman bowler hailed the efforts of Shami and Jasprit Bumrah for bowling such a brilliant spell in the initial 10 overs. Kuldeep felt that gave him a platform to bowl without any pressure in the middle overs. Further, Yadav added that he looked to mix his variations in every over.

Speaking of the Peter Handscomb wicket, he termed it special. And also, quoted that he is back to the International cricket after 20 days of time, so, wanted to take his time before delivering. He just wants to stick with his chinaman delivery

”First 10 overs are very crucial. Jasprit and Shami bowled really well. They gave 25 runs in 8 overs and one wicket. I am coming back from the break of 20 days so I took the time to get back in the rhythm. This wicket is very slow and I wanted to mix-up my variations,” Kuldeep Yadav said in the post-inning interview with Laxman Sivarama Krishnan.

”After 2 overs, I realised wicket is slow so i tried to bowl slower. Handscomb wicket was very special. If you have three-four variations then it is difficult to choose one. I am sticking with my chinaman delivery more often and bowling the wrong one occasionally,” he added to his lines.

Well, as Kuldeep Yadav said, the wicket of Peter should be special, as his brilliance was written all over it. Hopefully, he gets to enjoy the second innings without padding up for the team. If he gets to pad-up it means that India is in a troubled state.
