It has been a brilliant few months for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, especially, in the ODI format of the game. The captain and vice-captain of the team have done remarkably well for the team to make things fall in place. Meanwhile, the former Australian Matthew Hayden expects the repeat of the show from the duo against the Australian young fast bowlers.

Jhye Richardson and Jason Behrendorff garnered a fair bit of success against Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the white-ball cricket. Richardson was brilliant in the recent series against India while Behrendorff got a good record against Rohit Sharma. Regarding the same, Hayden makes his voice on the player battle.

Virat Kohli might dominate – Matthew Hayden

With Jhye Richardson unaware of conditions in India, Hayden believes that the run-machine of India will dominate Richardson in the limited overs format. He believes that Kohli is the best batsman in the world and with home conditions on offer, he would certainly come good against Richardson.

On the other hand, Hayden lavished praises on the tall left-handed fast bowler. But, still, he felt that the vice-captain of India Rohit Sharma would dominate things, as the bowler hasn’t got a good experience in Indian conditions.

“In the recent series (in Australia), Virat did have some trouble against Richardson, who played beautifully, taking Virat’s wicket thrice. But, I believe it will be a very different scenario this time around. Jhye is a young player, not with a lot of experience of playing cricket in India, so I believe Virat will be dominant in this one,” Hayden said.

“Jason Behrendorff is tall, has good pace and bowls into the wicket” and will pose a challenge but the Indian opening batsman Rohit Sharma is al in great touch,” Hayden added to his lines while speaking to Times of India.

Well, it would be interesting to see how Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma tackle the Australian fast bowlers. Perhaps, as Hayden said, they would come good as the Australian fast bowlers haven’t got enough experience of playing in India.

In the meantime, it is interesting to see how the Indian bowling attack will cope up to the challenge. Australian batting lineup got brilliant players, who did reasonably well in Indian conditions.
