Former Indian National Cricket team player Sanjay Manjrekar has labelled the current bowling attack against Australia as the worst attack he has seen for quite some time now. Meanwhile, after a good run in the limited overs, Virat Kohli & Co have finally found themselves on the wrong side as the visitors completely sweeps them in the two-match series.

The bowlers had a tough day as Glenn Maxwell got the better of them in both the games. He backed his half-century in the first game with a match-winning century to whitewash the men in blues. He smacked seven fours and nine sixes to chase down the massive target with two balls to spare. Maxwell’s 113 runs came in 55 balls tearing apart all the bowlers.

Moreover, India felt the absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav, who have done a significant job in the limited overs. The selectors are aiming to build their squad ahead of the ICC World Cup, and as a result, they rested their premier bowlers. Umesh Yadav and Siddarth Kaul failed to make a mark in the death overs giving away games in the latter half of the match. Disgusted with the bowlers, Sanjay Manjrekar termed this as the worst bowling attack in a while. He also singled out Krunal Pandya and Vijay Shankar for their poor efforts.

I know they are playing around with team selection with WC in mind, but this has to be the weakest bowling attack seen for a while, with Krunal & Vijay Shankar as two of the five bowlers. #INDvsAUS,” Manjrekar tweeted.

Previously, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni added 100 runs for the fourth wicket before KL Rahul provided with a good start. Kohli remained unbeaten on 72 runs while Dhoni added 40 runs off just 23 deliveries. With the T20I series done and dusted, the ODIs will commence from March 2.
