But, the fast bowler, Pat Cummins defied all the odds and came out on the top to become the highest wicket-taker for Australia. However, Adam Zampa, Nathan Lyon and Glenn Maxwell did their job for the team.

For Australia, it was Pat Cummins, who picked up 4 wickets. Meanwhile, Adam Zampa grabbed a couple of wickets while Nathan Coulter-Nile, Nathan Lyon and Glenn Maxwell picked one wicket each with economic numbers as well.

The right-handed fast bowler Pat Cummins quoted that the track was brilliant for spinners, which might be a tough ask for the batsmen. He felt that the Indian batsmen have done a good job with the bat and also hailed the knock of Virat Kohli.

”Was really hot with a dry wind blowing. Might cool down later on. I think as expected, it was slow at times and low with the ball getting chewed up quickly. Scoring at the back end will be the toughest. Facing spinners will be a real challenge on this track. (On him getting the most wickets on a spinning track) That happens at the end (laughs),” Pat Cummins said in the post-innings show.

Virat Kohli is an excellent batsman:

He wants one of Australia’s batsmen to replicate the performance of Virat Kohli in the second innings. The flamboyant cricketer is hopeful of batsmen doing the job for Australia in the second Innings of the game.

”They (Australian spinners) did really well in the middle overs, bowling those dots and creating pressure. They batted well but the bowlers plugged away. He (Kohli) is an excellent batsman and one of our guys need to replicate it. I think it is slightly above par, if we can start well, we can certainly cash in. That part against the new ball, that will be the easiest time to score on this track,” he added.

As Pat Cummins said, Virat Kohli has been stunning for Indian National Cricket Team on such a tough track. He made it look pretty easy than what it has been for the other batsmen. However, it has been another stellar show from the record-breaker.

In between Australian batsmen and Indian bowlers got a hell of a task in the second innings of the game. With the pitch being tricky, both the sides have got equal chances to seal the game.
