India vs Australia 2019: We Will Look To Level The Series At Bengaluru - Krunal Pandya

It was a flop show from the batsmen on the other day at the office for Indian National Cricket Team. However, bowlers came to the party to push for a victory in such a low-scoring clash until Umesh Yadav conceded 14 runs in the final over. Meanwhile, the all-rounder Krunal Pandya is hopeful of India making a comeback in the second game.

Krunal was the best spinner in the game while pacer Jasprit Bumrah bowled brilliantly in his comeback game to take the match into the final over after a weak batting performance. Attending the press conference, Krunal Pandya praised Australia for their never give up attitude.

Speaking of the Australian team, Krunal Pandya quoted that the visitors have a good name of fighting till the end. It was something, which they kept at the display on the other day. He added that the team is aware of that and wants to give their best shot in the final game of the series.

“History says they are a competitive side and we know that they will give 100 per cent every time they step on the field. We are mindful of that. We are concerned about what to do for the next game. It is a very important game. We would give our best to level the series at Bengaluru,” Krunal Pandya said.

“Tomorrow is a very important game as we are 0-1 down but I would not say that we have lost momentum. We lost the other night but we are not losing consecutive games. I am sure we will do well tomorrow,” said the 27-year-old.

Further, he hailed the stunning effort put in by the Indian bowling section. He believes that they would repeat the same on the Bengaluru track, which might assist the batsman. Krunal Pandya isn’t thinking about his batting position, as it is not in hands.

“It was a great bowling effort. Everyone chipped in and we almost defended the low total. We just have to be more cautious about our batting. Honestly, I am not thinking about where I want to bat. I am just focused on what is in my hands irrespective of the situation. I want to contribute with both bat and ball,” he added.

On Pitch conditions:

Krunal Pandya is expecting that the pitch at M Chinnaswamy Stadium might offer assistance to the batsmen. He believes that there would be more runs on the cards compared to Visakhapatnam game.

“The wicket looks good here. It will be better than Vizag for sure. Obviously, we expect more runs compared to what the wicket was in Visakhapatnam,” he said.

Well, it would be interesting to see whether India can level the series or not. Meanwhile, the team management might bring a couple of changes to the side in order to make things fall in place.
