Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis is missing from the playing XI due to a thumb injury in the ongoing fourth One Day International against India at Mohali. Meanwhile, Australia’s novice player Ashton Turner has replaced Marcus Stoinis in the final XI. Furthermore, Jason Behrendorff returns to the playing XI in place of Nathan Lyon.

On the other hand, Marcus Stoinis had scored a good knock of 52 runs in the second ODI which India won by eight runs. Stoinis left too many to get in the final two overs as he tried to take the match deep. However, the talisman all-rounder could not add the finishing touches to Australia’s chase of 250 runs.

Meanwhile, Marcus Stoinis had suffered a blow to his hand while fielding in the third ODI at Ranchi. Stoinis is replaced by Ashton Turner who made his ODI debut in the first match of the series at Hyderabad.

Consequently, Stoinis absence is a huge blow for Australia as he is a vital player for the visitors. Stoinis can contribute with both bat as well as the ball and he was awarded as Australia’s ODI player of the year.
