India vs Bangladesh 2019: 1st T20I, Delhi – Match Report; Yet again, the clash between India and Bangladesh went down to the wire to put fans on edge of their seats. However, unlike every time, this time it is Bangladesh, who came out on top by knocking down the Indian National Cricket Team at Delhi under tough circumstances.

India Innings:

After losing the toss, India lost Rohit Sharma for a cheap score despite scoring a couple of solid strokes. The wicket saw new number 3 KL Rahul at the crease, who knocked the ball cautiously to settle his nerves in the middle.

However, once again, KL Rahul found a way to get dismissed in an unfortunate way while Shikhar Dhawan didn’t get the right momentum to showcase himself in the middle. Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer tried to turn the things with his quick knock but, in the end, it went down as cameo after being dismissed for 22 runs off 13 balls.

It was followed by the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan, who scored 41 runs off 42 balls. It was a surprising knock from the southpaw, as the wicket was expected to be batting friendly. On the other hand, Rishabh Pant also failed to get the runs at a good strike rate.

It certainly made an impact on the score and Bangladesh always looked on the top of the game. Just when things looked tough, Washington Sundar and Krunal Pandya gave the perfect finish thus giving the reasonable score on the board to make things look good for India. At the end of the innings, India scored 148 runs on the board.

Bangladesh Innings:

In reply to the chase, Bangladesh got the solid start with the first couple of balls going for runs, however, it was a short joy with Liton Das walking back to the pavilion off Deepak Chahar. It was Naim and the southpaw Soumya Sarkar steadied the innings during the chase.

Just when things turned out of their hands, the stylish southpaws in the middle made sure to get the boundaries to put Indians on their toes. Despite Naim losing his good start in the middle, it was their experienced campaigner Mushfiqur Rahim, who did the trick for his side.

Alongside Rahim, Soumya Sarkar was brilliant to knock the runs during tough circumstances and the skipper Mahmudullah Riyad has been positive right from the start. Despite their stay, it was in the hands of India until Rahim unleased himself against Khaleel Ahmed to get 4 boundaries in a row.

Surprisingly, Rohit Sharma opted for Shivam Dube in the final over but it was always the game of Bangladesh, as they never let it down right from the start.
