India vs Bangladesh 2019: 1st Test, Indore – Day 2 Report; Yet another day which completely belongs to the Indian National Cricket Team. The magical knock from Mayank Agarwal and the brilliant support from Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja helped India take the honours of Day 2.

After starting the day 2 on 86/1, Cheteshwar Pujara and Mayank Agarwal started it well with a flurry of boundaries. However, against the run of play, Abu Jayed knocked down Cheteshwar Pujara to give the breakthrough for India. It was followed by the dismissal of Virat Kohli, who registered 2-ball duck.

However, then came the solid partnership between Mayank Agarwal and Ajinkya Rahane, which completely changed the complexion of the game. The duo found boundaries more often than not to make things fall in place for the team. Though Mominul Haque tried various plans, the duo was smart enough in knocking boundaries.

They both added 290 runs for the fourth wicket before Ajinkya Rahane smashing a poor delivery to the only fielder in the deep, which also gave the fourth wicket for Abu Jayed. He registered 86 runs with 9 boundaries included in it. During the course, Mayank Agarwal brought yet another century to his name.

He carried his form to get 150 and then followed it up with a stunning double century. It is his second double century in longer version of the game, having knocked the first double century in the previous game. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja also smashed beautiful fifty thus consolidating his position higher the order.

Just when everything looked like going in India’s way, Bangladesh sent back Mayank Agarwal when he tried to go big off Mehidy Hasan. He walked back with 243 runs to his name, which gave him a standing ovation from the crowd. He was quickly followed by Wridhhiman Saha who scored 12 runs off 11 balls.

Then came the magical knock from Umesh Yadav, which entertained the fans to the core. He smashed 3 sixes and 1 boundary in his 10-ball stay at the crease. He looked like getting a few more but the stumps on Day 2 has seen him walk back as an unbeaten batsman alongside Jadeja. At the end of day 2, India is leading the game with 343 runs.
