Team India will take on Bangladesh in the first of the three T20Is on November 3 in Delhi. Rohit Sharma will lead the side in absence of regular captain Virat Kohli who has been rested for the series. India will be the favourites for the series against Bangladesh who will be without their talismanic allrounder Shakib Al Hasan and senior batsman Tamim Iqbal.

But ahead of the series, India had a mighty injury scare when Rohit Sharma was hit on his left thigh in the training session. The right-handed batsman was taking throwdowns when he sustained the injury. Rohit Sharma was then compelled to walk out of the training session. According to Times of India, the batsman was not at all happy with the pace at which the throwdown delivery was hurled at him.

The Indian team has a designated a left-arm throwdown expert in Sri Lanka’s Nuwan. The Sri Lankan helped the batsmen to prepare for left-arm seamers. Usually, the batsmen take throwdowns in order to get some rhythm before facing bowlers in the nets.

Meanwhile, the practice session made it more or less clear that Sanju Samson would not keep the wickets. The Kerala star was seen fielding with others and number one choice Rishabh Pant was seen with the wicketkeeping gloves. Samson has been recalled for the series and is likely to bat in the top-order in absence of Kohli.

Shivam Dube, who has earned his first India call-up, is also likely to make his debut. With Hardik Pandya injured and Ravindra Jadeja dropped, Dube could play as the allrounder in the team.
