India vs New Zealand 2019: 2nd ODI, Bay Oval – Match Prediction; After the one-sided game at Napier, now, it is the time for the second ODI of the series. The home side would like to give it back to India while the visitors would love to carry on their momentum in the ODI format. They have already bagged 1st ODI in their kitty and would like to make the most of 2nd ODI game as well.

After winning the first ODI in the five-match series, India will be eager to wrap up the series as soon as possible. This would allow them space for experimentation and look ahead to the Cricket World Cup in England later this year.

Mohammad Shami provided India with the early breakthroughs and the spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal provided the breakthroughs in the middle overs. Shikhar Dhawan got back in form with a good half-century.

On the other side of the coin, New Zealand will definitely come hard in the second One Day International. The same batting lineup that scored more than 300 runs in all the three ODI matches against Sri Lanka weren’t able to cross 160. The hosts would be wary of this and will be looking to be more clinical on Saturday.

New Zealand would want to include a second spinner in their playing XI looking at the ground in Mount Maunganui. They could also bring in Colin de Grandhomme to bring more depth to their batting lineup.

As far as the changes in the team are concerned, India might go with the same side. Meanwhile, New Zealand might consider bringing in a couple of changes. There is a strong chance that Ish Sodhi might come into the playing XI, as the ground has lengthy dimensions.

Match Prediction:

Currently, the momentum is with the Indian National Cricket Team. They have been pretty clinical in their approach so far. However, one can’t take Kiwis lightly, especially, in their conditions. But, Indian attack is too good to be knocked down. Once again, Indian National Cricket Team will be the favourites to win the game.
