India vs New Zealand 2019: 2nd T20I, Eden Park, Auckland – Match Preview; Well, after the debacle in the first T20I game, Rohit Sharma-led side would be determined to seal the game in the 2nd contest of the series. With the series result at stake, both sides would love to push themselves harder to taste the success.
An impressive performance by the Black Caps in the first T20I has given them an early lead in the three-match T20I series. After being put to bat first, New Zealand started off on the front foot. Tim Seifert, who was the replacement of Martin Guptill has been fantastic in his approach to the game.
Series at Stake:
Not only Seifert but also Colin Munro, Kane Williamson also displayed their class in the middle. They got fine firepower in the team where any player can take the finisher role, which is a great blessing in the T20I format. Apart from that, they have got the luxury of having a good bunch of all-rounders in the side.
On the other hand, surprisingly, none of the Indian batsmen got success in the first T20I game. The scoreboard pressure kept on hurting them, which induced batsmen to play false strokes. However, they are way better batting unit than what they displayed on the other day.
It has been a long time watching Rohit Sharma knocking it for the team while the lineup of Indians looks a bit inexperienced. Most probably, they would make a bit of fine-tuning to the batting order.
They played with three wicketkeepers in the batting lineup. One of them might make a way for Kedar Jadhav or young Shubman Gill in the second T20I. It would be interesting to see whether Vijay Shankar gets a go-ahead at number 3 again.
Changes:
Most probably, Kiwis unit would name the same lineup for the second game as well. On the other hand, India would tempt to bring Kuldeep Yadav and also Siddharth Kaul. Kedar Jadhav and Shubman Gill might also get a look in.
