It was a stunning show by Indian National Cricket Team at New Zealand. They have completely outsmarted the hosts to bag a 4-1 victory in the 5-match series. It was a collective performance of the team, as each and every player came good for the team. Meanwhile, the former swashbuckling batsman Virender Sehwag congratulates the effort.

In 5th ODI, Rohit Sharma took a brave call by electing to bat first in such hard circumstances. The scorecard also read poorly as they lost 4 wickets for 18 runs on the board. However, then came the resilience from Ambati Rayudu and Vijay Shankar, who balanced the ship.

Then it was the collective bowling effort, who hit those line and lengths to unsettled Kiwis batsmen. Yuzvendra Chahal was the star, who delivered the goods with the ball while Mohammad Shami showed his class again. Hardik Pandya was also decent with the ball.

Loved the way Rohit Sharma has led – Virender Sehwag

Meanwhile, Virender Sehwag, who is pretty elated with the victory, hailed Rohit Sharma for using the bowlers well to defend the low total on the board. He termed it was a great win, especially, after losing 4 wickets for 18 runs.

Digging into his tweet, it read ”Great to win this game after being 18-4, great contributions from the middle, lower order today and really loved the way @ImRo45 used these combinations of bowlers. Congratulations BCCI.”

Earlier, India won the first three games comfortably to seal the series. They have lost the game at Hamilton, in which, India tried out the different combination. However, they have made the required changes to make a turnaround in the final ODI.

All in all, it was quite a tour for the Indian National Cricket Team in New Zealand. They have collected their trophy and will enter into 3-match T20I series with great momentum on their side.
