Well, a lot of records are waiting for Indian National Cricket Team ahead of the 3-match T20I series against New Zealand. Of all them, they have got a golden chance to break the world record set by Pakistan in the T20I format of the game. Pakistan has ended their 10-match streak after losing the series against South Africa in the ongoing 3-match T20I series.

Before losing the series to South Africa, Sarfraz Ahmed-led side has been invincible in the format, as they haven’t seen defeat in their last 11 series on a trot. On the other side, India also displayed their class in the bilateral series.

India remained undefeated in last 10 series:

They have been undefeated in their last 10 games, where they have drawn a couple of series and won 8 series. If they manage to seal the victory against New Zealand, they can equal their rivals Pakistan in the world record.

Since their defeat in July 2017, India has defeated Sri Lanka (1-0), drew against Australia at home (1-1), defeated New Zealand at home (2-1), beaten Sri Lanka at home (3-0. Then, they won in South Africa (2-1), lifted the Nidahas Trophy under Rohit Sharma captaincy.

And then, they won in Ireland (2-0) and England (2-1), whitewashed West Indies (3-0) and drew against Australia (1-1). On the other hand, Pakistan faced their first T20I series loss since World T20 2016 and their first bilateral series loss since their defeat against New Zealand in 2016 (1-2).

Well, it would be interesting to see whether the Indian National Cricket Team can equal the glorious record. Meanwhile, the history says that Indians haven’t had a great record against Kiwis, especially, in the T20I format of the game.

However, going by the current form, it seems like India has got the healthy team in their ranks to make things fall in place. They recently outsmarted the very same outfit by a margin of 4-1 in the 5-match ODI series.

Coming to the schedule, the first match of the series will be played on February 6th at Westpac Stadium, Wellington. It will be followed by a couple of games on February 8th and 10th at Auckland and Hamilton respectively.

I just love what I script. Over the years, Cricket has been my passion and crisping articles on it gives me an immense pleasure...Cheers...!!!
