Of late, the left-handed fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed has been on the headlines for quite a few reasons. One of them has been his send-offs to the players, after bagging a wicket. Meanwhile, he once again kept that in the display during the 2nd T20I game against Kiwis when he bagged the wicket of Mitchell Santner.

It was in the final over of the innings when Khaleel Ahmed was asked to finish things. Santner, who was looking to finish the game on high, tried to whack Khaleel out of the park. Instead, he was successful in chopping the ball back on to the stumps.

As soon as the LED lights flashed on, the fast bowler asked the batsman to walk back to pavilion with his signal. He also waved bye to the batsman as well. Khaleel repeated the same when he claimed the wicket of Southee in the last ball.

Kiwis finished with 158/8:

Initially, it was New Zealand, who won the toss and asked the visitors to bowl first. Unlike First T20I, Tim Seifert failed to get the momentum for his side. After stroking Bhuvneshwar for a four and a six, he walked back edging it to MS Dhoni.

Colin Munro also walked back in swift time. Then came the surprising DRS call from the third umpire, who ruled Mitchell Leg Before Wicket despite the ball hitting the bat during its way to impact on the pads. It was followed by the dismissal of Kane Williamson, which saw India on the driver seat.

However, Colin de Grandhomme has got other ideas in the mind. He smashed Indians to all corners with a stunning knock of 50 in just 28 balls. Despite the scintillating show from Colin, the other batsmen failed to tackle Indian bowling.

The superb display of death bowling by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed helped India to restrict Kiwis for 158 on the board. Earlier, after Colin’s burst, it was expected that the score would end close to 200 on the board.
