India’s former skipper MS Dhoni has once again shown why he is the shrewdest minds to have ever embraced the game. A fan from the crowd ran towards MS Dhoni to touch his feet in the New Zealand batting innings. The Indian fan who was wearing a white Kurta rushed towards Dhoni and greeted the talisman in a similar fashion as many fans have done.

The fan got on his knees and touched MS Dhoni’s feet. However, the former captain was quick to take the national flag from the fan’s hand so that it doesn’t touch his feet. Thus, it was great respect shown by MS Dhoni towards the Indian national flag. The fan ran off the field when a security official chased him.

Dhoni shows his class.

In fact, it was an instinctive reaction and Dhoni’s sharp mind was once again in action. Furthermore, the stumper also effected a quick stumping to get rid of Tim Seifert.

The talisman gloveman took only 0.099 seconds to dislodge the bails and Seifert had no chance to get back into the crease as he failed to pick up Kuldeep Yadav’s wrong one and took a big stride. However, Dhoni could not hit the ground running as he scored only two runs.

On the other hand, New Zealand clinched the T20I series as the hosts won the decider by four runs. Colin Munro gave a perfect start to his team as he scored 72 runs. Furthermore, Munro and Tim Seifert added 80 runs for the opening stand with 66 of them coming in the powerplay overs.

Consequently, New Zealand posted a par score of 212 runs after they were asked to bat first. The hosts won the thrilling contest by four runs after Dinesh Karthik and Krunal Pandya could not finish off the match after providing a ray of hope.

Here is the smart work of MS Dhoni to take the national flag:
