Of late, Indian bowling department has delivered goods exceptionally in every series that came across. They have been brilliant across the formats to make things fall in place for the team. One of them was Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who performed well, especially, in the absence of the Jasprit Bumrah. Meanwhile, he makes his voice on the performance of the bowling department.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who missed the Test series, made an immediate impact in the limited overs game against Australia. Later, he carried the brilliant form in the ongoing series against New Zealand Cricket Team.

We expected Colin Munro To come hard at us – Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Colin Munro has been exceptional when he toured India in last year. However, he was a sad story for Kiwis in this series, as he hardly got runs under his belt. Speaking of the same, Kumar quoted that his side has shown tremendous consistency in bowling the decent lengths.

Further, he went on to speak on his own bowling effort. Kumar is happy to put pressure on the opposition by restricting runs for the team. He wants his fellow bowler to take wickets when he applies pressure from one end.

“Did not feel any pressure. I know Shami is in good form with the Test form and he is always good in overseas conditions. Bowling with Shami has been a good experience. We expected Munro to come really hard at us, we had our plans but unfortunately, he couldn’t fire much,” Bhuvneshwar told the broadcaster on their post-match show.

“When it comes to swinging, yes I am a swing bowler. But if the conditions are not swing-friendly, I try to bowl as straight as possible to make the batsman make a mistake and give me the wicket. It’s very important for Indian fast bowlers to pick the length to bowl, overseas its different from India. Nowadays wickets overseas are also good for batting. The wrist spinners have done that well too,” he added.

Well, as Bhuvneshwar Kumar said, it was a collective team effort by the team. All the bowlers delivered goods in equal terms to make things fall in place for the team to bag yet another series victory in their kitty.

In the 3rd ODI, India convincingly thrashed Kiwis by 7 wickets. The victory also sealed India a series victory and are left with a couple of games to carry their experiments on the team
