Well, life is all about meeting unexpected things. Meanwhile, one such rare incident took place in the 4th ODI game at Hamilton, which was played in between India and New Zealand. Did you ever imagine a number 10 batsman will end up being the top run-scorer for Indian in an ODI game? Well, it took place, as Yuzvendra Chahal becomes India’s top run-scorer with 18 runs in the 4th ODI.
It was one of the horrible days for India at the office. They were rolled up for 92 runs on the board. Trent Boult was the wrecker-in-chief while Colin de Grandhomme has finally delivered the goods for the team. None of the Indian batsmen has got a clue while tackling the Kiwis attack.
Yuzvendra Chahal scored 18 runs:
It would have been even worse for India if Yuzvendra Chahal or Kuldeep Yadav failed to get something to their name. Chahal scored 18 while Kuldeep got 15 runs. Though the numbers look small, it was quite enough to bail out India from creating embarrassing records.
Initially, it was Trent Boult and Colin de Grandhomme show, who rattled the defence of Indian batting attack. They exploited the weakness of Indians pretty smartly to bundle out there for 92 runs on the board. Then, Ross Taylor, Henry Nicholls made it look easy while chasing.
However, the hosts have avoided the chance of being whitewashed at home by Indian National Cricket Team. Now, they would like to repeat the same in the final ODI to see the series scoreline look better on the paper.
Meanwhile, Indian National Cricket Team faced their heaviest loss in the One Day Format of the game, as far as the ball left while defending the tally is concerned. Apart from all those, India has already sealed the series victory.
Despite the team receiving the flak from the Indian supporters, Chahal and Kuldeep collected high praises for their batting resilience at the crease.
