New Zealand spinner Ish Sodhi in a recent interview revealed that he was left amazed by the skill sets that the Indian bowlers possessed. He further praised Virat Kohli’s men for being ‘helpful’ as they do not shy away from sharing their knowledge and skills from those who approach the Men in Blue.

The 27-year-old Ludhiana born spinner has made full use of the time Indian team has spent in New Zealand. Due to his Indian roots, he has been able to gel in with the Indian players.

Kohli and his team have been on a tour of New Zealand for the past couple of weeks. They played in a five-match T20I series, in which the visitors blanked the Kiwis 5-0.

In the recently concluded ODI series, it was the home side that triumphed, whitewashing team India 3-0.

The next assignment between these teams is a two-match Test series which begins from 21st February in Wellington.

“Chahal is a great person to tap into. He is completely a different bowler, big hearted. It is great to rub shoulders with these guys and listen to their experiences,” he added.

Sodhi further added that he also had a conversation with Ravichandran Ashwin and he was left in awe of the Indian spinner.

“I was speaking to Jadeja the other day about how he goes on with his training. Talking to Ashwin about the carrom ball and the googly he bowls despite being an off-spinner. It’s crazy.”

India’s tour of New Zealand will come to an end after the Test series, the first of which begins on 21st February at Wellington.
