India vs Windies 2018, 1st ODI: Twitter Reacts as Kuldeep Yadav Gets Dropped

Virat Kohli and team management decided to bench mystery chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav in the first ODI against the Windies. India decided to play with three bowlers seam attack as they included Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, and Khaleel Ahmed. Men in Blue are also playing with two spinners in Ravindra Jadeja and Yuzvendra Chahal.

Kuldeep Yadav had done well in the recently concluded Test series against the Windies. The southpaw spinner had also scalped his first five-wicket haul in the first Test match at Rajkot. Thus, he has done well in the recent past.

India is trying to test its bench strength.

On the other hand, Rishabh Pant is making his ODI debut for India. In fact, India had announced its 12-man squad yesterday. Meanwhile, Windies are also playing with two debutants in Chandrapaul Hemraj and Oshane Thomas. Therefore, three players are playing their maiden One-Dayer.

Meanwhile, India is looking to test its bench strength. Thus, they have given a chance to southpaw seamer Khaleel Ahmed. The left-arm bowler had impressed in the recently concluded Asia Cup. He had scalped three wickets in the first contest against Hong Kong.

Thus, it is a good opportunity for Ahmed to prove his mettle at the topmost level. Ahmed will like to grab his chances with both hands and make the most of it.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav has also done well in the limited overs format. Yadav was the leading wicket-getter in the Asia Cup as he had taken 10 wickets in the multi-nation tournament.

On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav’s spin partner Yuzvendra Chahal hasn’t been in the best of forms. Chahal hasn’t been amongst the wickets in the recent past.
