India vs Windies 2018: 1st T20I, Kolkata - Windies' Predicted XI

After the completion of tough Test and ODI series losses, it is time for the Windies to enter into their favourite format of the game. They will be boosted by the comeback of their key players, who were absent in the ODI leg.  From the fans point of view, it is also the best chance for them to take their revenge as well. Meanwhile, we figured out the Windies’ predicted XI for the 1st T20I fixture.

Here is Windies’ Predicted XI for 1st T20I, Kolkata:

1. Nicholas Pooran –

The stylish southpaw has been the late entrant into the side. He was drafted in to replace Evin Lewis to open the innings for the team. He is coming into the game on the back of a blistering Carribean Premier League. Hopefully, the team management would hope him deliver the goods.

2. Dinesh Ramdin –

The wicketkeeper-batsman might open the innings for Windies. With no proper opening batsman available for the team, they might gamble with Dinesh Ramdin at the top of the order. Recently, he showed his class in the Carribean Premier League and also played a good hand against Bangladesh side as well.

3. Darren Bravo –

The stylish southpaw would take the number three role for the Windies. He would be the vital cog for the team and also got the experience in playing in Kolkata. Of late, he is in stunning form and would like to show his calibre by knocking it big on his day. Meanwhile, he would also eye the upcoming IPL auctions as well.

4. Shimron Hetmyer –

The red-hot player in the cricketing world is perhaps, not only Windies management but also a lot of Indian fans also waiting to watch his calibre as well. Meanwhile, the franchise owners of the Indian Premier League are also waiting with their eyes as well. However, he would be the tough nut to crack down for team India.

5. Kieron Pollard:

A prominent player in the playing XI for the Windies side. The lanky all-rounder will be the major threat for team India and also a trustworthy player for the Windies. Besides his brutal hitting, Pollard can also deliver the goods with his bowling as well. The big man also got great experience in playing on the Indian Soil.

6. Andre Russell:

Yet another world-class all-rounder is set to make his way back in the Windies side. The flamboyant all-rounder will be the major asset of the team and makes an impact on the result. Recently, he sustained a couple of injuries but hopefully, he will get fit in the time to play in the first game.

7. Carlos Braithwaite:

Yet another dangerous player in this format of the game. He will be leading the side and got the skills to deliver the goods in all sections of the game. He also got decent experience in playing on Indian soil. He will be the cynosure of the eyes for his captaincy skills as well.

8. Fabien Allen:

The youngster hasn’t fared well enough in the ODI format, but he can deliver the things in T20I format. Allen has been exceptional with his hitting in CPL and the team management would like to see him repeating the same.

9. Sherfane Rutherford:

Yet another young all-rounder, who is licking his lips to deliver for his country. Rutherford has been quite exceptional in the recent past and fared well in CPL against the world-class players. Braithwaite might hand his debut cap to play against India in the first T20I game.

10. Oshane Thomas:

The well-built, fast bowler has done well to grab the eyes of the legendary players. He has got that extra pace in his kitty and also the bounce, which would tempt the team management to go with him.

11. Obed McCoy:

The youngster has been pretty good in changing the pace and got bulk of variations in his kitty as well. He delivered the goods in CPL, and the team would hope him repeat the same. Though he got for runs in ODI format, one can see him troubling Indians in the T20Is, especially, in death overs.
