After the heavy dose of limited-overs cricket, it is the time for India and Windies’ cricket fans to get some red-ball fun. The giants of Asia, India will be locking horns against the Windies on October 4th at Rajkot.

Ahead of going into the game, we figured out the Windies’ predicted XI for the first Test against India.

Here is Windies’ Predicted XI:

1. Kieran Powell:

The stylish southpaw has got the required ingredients in him to trouble the Indian bowlers. He has been splendid for his country in the recent past with his defensive approach to the game. Adding yet another positive in Powell’s kitty, he has got the nerves to deal the spin bowling as well.

2. Kraig Braithwaite –

Another classy batsman in the side Kraig Braithwaite will join Kieran Powell at the top of the order. He is one of the consistent performers for Windies in the red-ball format, and the team management would like to witness one more solid knock from his willow against India. 3. Shai Hope –

Surely, the management will put the money on Sunil at the number 6 slot. His ability to deal the new ball is an added advantage.

The backbone of the team will be the deciding factor during the Test match against India. He is the top-class of his own and always the consistent performer in bowling and batting departments of the game.

All in all, a lot will be depend on the performance of Jason Holder during the first Test. Meanwhile, his captaincy ability will also get tested.
