Team India once again dominated the morning session of day two as Umesh Yadav cleaned the tail in no time in the second Test against Windies at Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, the visitors started the day at 295 for seven with Roston Chase batting at 98. However, Umesh Yadav struck in the very first over of the day and gets his fourth. It was a full delivery and on off as Devendra Bishoo gets the inside edge and the ball crashes into the off stump.

Reeling at 296 for eight, Chase brought his fourth Test century and surprisingly all came against the subcontinent teams. He clipped it on to the leg stump to complete a single to reach to the three-figure mark. Chase has been the only shining star in otherwise a disappointing effort from the Windies side.

Soon after reaching his hundred, Chase departed as Umesh bagged a five-wicket haul. The ball found the gap between the bat and the pad thus giving Umesh his second fifer in Test cricket. With 311 for 9, Windies failed to add more runs to it as Yadav bagged his sixth wicket to finish off the innings.

However, in reply, India were on the attacking mode right from the word go. Windies bowlers struggling and both Prithvi Shaw and KL Rahul made the most of it.

Make no mistake, the Indian openers are inducing the mistakes from the Windies bowlers. They’ve attacked right from the start and haven’t let the bowlers settle down.

Shaw continued from where he left in the opening Test playing his natural game. He scored a flurry of boundaries as India reached the 50-run mark quickly. However, against the run of play, Jason Holder brought an end to KL Rahul’s struggles as he inside-edges on to his stumps.

Furthermore, Shaw brought his half-century in just 39 balls including eight boundaries and one massive six. With Pujara and Shaw in the middle for India, it will be a perfect juggle between T20 and classical Test mindset now.

India looked in full control of the proceedings as they went for lunch at 80 runs for the loss of one wicket.
