After a mammoth 224-run win in the fourth one-day international, India will look to clinch the series when they take on Windies in the fifth ODI at Thiruvananthapuram on November 1 (Thursday).

Meanwhile, Windies have improved significantly since their poor outing in the Test series. They will aim to put a spirited performance and finish the series on even stevens. Shai Hope has been pivotal for the visitors as his patient knocks helped Windies clinch a tie and a win.

Shimron Hetymer has also been integral to the strong performances from the Windies in the first three ODIs. He notched up his third ODI hundred in the first game before adding 94 in the next game. He will be an essential player for the visitors going into the final ODI. The rest of them needs to buckle up and produce better efforts in the last outing.

On the other hand, India will have to solve their lower middle-order worries with MS Dhoni struggling to put runs on the board. Ravindra Jadeja, who replaced injured Hardik Pandya has also lacked consistency. Otherwise, it is a happy unit with their top-order among the runs. The return of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah has also strengthened their pace attack with the spinners doing well consistently.

The temperature will hover around 30 degrees Celsius with dark clouds roaming above the stadium. There will be a significant amount of wind making things tough for the player.

If India wins this one, it will be their eighth straight win over the Windies in a bilateral one-day international series – the last time the Windies won was back in 2006 at home.
