India vs Windies 2018: Ambati Rayudu Is the Perfect Candidate For The No 4 Spot, Says Sanjay Manjrekar

Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has shared high praise Ambati Rayudu saying that he is the perfect contender for the no four spot in the current ODI set up.

Meanwhile, Rayudu is currently playing in ODI series against Windies and has done pretty well in that no four spot in the batting order. The batsman from Hyderabad made a comeback to the national squad following his terrific run in the IPL. He was spectacular for Chennai Super Kings and played a crucial role in helping them lift the trophy.

However, Ambati Rayudu had to wait long as he failed to clear the yo-yo test ahead of the tour of England. But he worked hard on his fitness and finally made a comeback to the Asia Cup squad. Although he didn’t have a spectacular return but showed hints of reducing Virat Kohli’s worries ahead of the World Cup.

India have done a lot of permutation and combination for the place and has likely found an answer with the World Cup in sight. Furthermore, following his good show in the opening two fixture against Windies Sanjay Manjrekar has also shared high praise for Ambati Rayudu.

Speaking about the 33-year-old batsman, Manjrekar admitted that he has all the capabilities needed. Rayudu can find gaps with ease and has the ability to clear the field with ease as he has shown in the last IPL.

“Ambati Rayudu is all a no 4 should be. Can score at a run a ball against both spin and seam, by picking singles, hitting the ball in the gaps. Also has the big game when needed as we saw in the last IPL,” the post read.
