Finally, it seems like India has got the answers for number four batsman. The trust put in by the selectors and Virat Kohli on Ambati Rayudu at number four slot appears to be working in India’s favour. The right-handed Hyderabadi batsman knocked brilliantly to give the ample support to Virat Kohli in the 2nd ODI in Vizag.

Earlier, India lost Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma early in the innings thus putting the pressure on middle-order. However, unlike every other time in the recent past, Ambati Rayudu stopped further hiccups by knocking it brilliantly.

Speaking in the post-innings show, Ambati Rayudu quoted it was an essential knock for him. He also added he was disappointed to miss out a century but stated that he is happy with the 73-run knock.

Further, he also thanked MS Dhoni and CSK for letting him play freely in IPL 2018. On a concluding note, Ambati Rayudu hailed the incredible batting display by the skipper Virat Kohli.

”It was important to build a partnership, happy that I got some runs, but should have stayed till the end. It was a golden opportunity to make a hundred, hopefully, I will score more runs. I have always batted in the middle-order throughout my career, I am used to it,” Ambati Rayudu quoted.

”Batting in the middle-order, one needs to improvise and adapt to the situation. IPL is a great platform, thanks to DhonBhaiai and CSK for giving me a chance at the top of the order. I was pretty relaxed today, it isn’t a 320 wicket, the way Kohli batted today was unbelievable,” he added to his lines.

However, it seems like Ambati Rayudu is in a great mindset to score runs for India in the middle-order slot. Hopefully, he continues the same on a regular basis to avoid a headache for team India.
