As the Test cricket once again comes into the scene, the views on the pitch are the inevitable debate. The latest individual to express his opinion on the surface is the voice of cricket, Harsha Bhogle. He doesn’t want India to try fast bowling pitches for the India vs Windies 2018 series.

India had always tried the same scenario in the past to get used to the bouncy tracks ahead of the foreign tours. The curators too tried their best in bringing the soul to the pitches, but it never worked in India’s favour.

Teams must play to their strength – Harsha Bhogle

The classic commentator quoted it is not a good option to prepare bouncy tracks for the game against the Windies. He feels the home teams should play the game to their advantage rather than losing it.

Harsha went on to add saying the Indian pitches can never become the Australian pitches. Hence, he feels the Indian management should look after the surfaces which would help to their advantage.

Digging into Harsha Bhogle’s tweet, it read ”I don’t think preparing bouncy tracks will help in preparation for Australia. Those pitches are different, these are, eventually Indian tracks. Teams must play to their strength at home.”

However, it seems like Harsha Bhogle has a valid point in his kitty. Though India tries to prepare bouncy pitches, at the end of the day, the tracks belong to India, and it was never going to be changed to Australian pitches.

The first Test is set to be played at Rajkot –

Meanwhile, both the teams set to lock horns at Rajkot for the first Test of the series. The Indian side has covered all the bases with the quality players while Windies management believes their players to keep the fight till the last ball of the game.
