Are you in the list of people who love the low-scoring thrillers? Then the game between India and Windies at Lucknow is surely for you, as per the Lucknow curator. Much like the first T20I game at Eden Gardens, the Lucknow track is also set the batsmen a hard time as far as scoring freely is concerned.

After 24-years wait, Lucknow is hosting an international game. The newly-built Ekana Stadium is making its debut. Meanwhile, the curators haven’t given a great news for the people, who loves batsman smashing the bowlers all over the park.

The Pitch has dead grass – Lucknow Curator

As per the curator, the pitch will have a low bounce and the dead grass will make the life hard for the batsmen to go with their shots. Further, he added that the spinner will have a great purchase during the course of the game.

The Curator went on to say that the pitch is made of soil exported from Odisha’s Bolangir. Usually, the soil from Odisha is known for its slow nature, hence, the massive totals will not be on the cards.

“It won’t be a high-scoring game for sure. The pitch has long dead grass on both sides with cracks in between. It will be a slow bouncing wicket and spinners are expected to play a big part from the beginning,” the curator said.

“The pitch is made of soil exported from Odisha’s Bolangir which is famous for its slow nature. Both the teams will find it difficult to score runs and hit big shots with long square boundaries,” he added.

Well, taking a cue from the curators’ word, it seems like another low-scoring clash is on its way on Tuesday (November 6th). Meanwhile, expect spin-heavy teams from both the sides for the clash as well.
