India’s former skipper MS Dhoni might miss the fifth ODI at Thiruvananthapuram against Windies due to a wrist injury. Dhoni was spotted wearing a bandage on his arm while traveling with the team to the venue. However, there is no official statement from BCCI yet. Thus, MS Dhoni could sit out for the fifth and final ODI of the five-match series. Dhoni was hit on the wrist by the throw while completing the single to bring up Ambati Rayudu’s hundred in the 47th over of the Indian innings.

Dhoni had no issues while keeping in India’s bowling innings and looked at his absolute best while donning the keeping gloves. In fact, the legendary wicketkeeper was able to affect a stumping in just 0.08 seconds.

MS Dhoni’s form is under the scanner.

MS Dhoni was recently dropped from India’s T20I squad for the three-match series against Windies. Furthermore, the former captain was also overlooked for T20Is against Australia. Therefore, if Dhoni misses out on in the fifth ODI, he would be seen in action for the three-match ODI series against Australia.

Thus, Dhoni will be seen in action on January 12, when Australia and India will take on each other in the first ODI. Meanwhile, Dhoni has been under the scrutiny as he is not in the best of forms.

Dhoni has failed to score his runs consistently and has also found it difficult to rotate the strike at regular interval. Consequently, Dhoni is under pressure as he is not able to deliver the goods with the bat. However, Dhoni’s wicketkeeping skills have remained the same.

MS Dhoni will like to get back to his best and we all know the destruction he can cause while batting in the death overs. Dhoni has all the experience under his belt and should come good in the coming matches.
