India vs Windies 2018: Mushfiqur Rahim Congratulates Virat Kohli on Reaching 10000 ODI Runs

Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim lauded team India skipper Virat Kohli as the latter became the fastest to score 10000 ODI runs.
Meanwhile, Kohli brought his 37th ODI hundred as India posted 321 runs on the board. He remained unbeaten on 157 runs while Ambati Rayudu chipped in with 73 runs to guide the host to a massive total. However, Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope led a terrific comeback to salvage a draw at Visakhapatnam.
Hetmyer smashed 64 balls 94 while Hope remained unbeaten on 123 runs to keep their hopes alive in the series. Windies needed five runs from the last ball as Hope smashed a boundary to seal the game.
Virat Kohli went past the milestone when he reached 81 in his innings and thus became the fastest to 10,000 ODI runs in terms of innings. Kohli has taken 205 innings to reach the feat as compared to Tendulkar’s 259. Former India captain Sourav Ganguly finds himself in the third spot, he took 263 innings to bring up the milestone.
Kohli became only the 4th Indian and 13th batsman overall to achieve this feat. The Indian captain also holds the record for the fastest to 8000 and 9000 ODI runs. In addition to, Virat Kohli also became the fastest batsman to notch 10000 runs by time. Kohli (10 years and 66 days) overtook Rahul Dravid (10 years 317 days) and Sachin Tendulkar (11 years and 103 days).
Mushfiqur Rahim shares high praise for Virat Kohli
The Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman shared high praise for the team India following his entry to the 10K club. He congratulated Kohli for reaching the milestone in a blink of an eye.
